Attention SF Volunteers: Parking Info

A huge thank you to our devoted volunteers who are helping us at this weekend’s dress giveaways in San Francisco!

An important note about parking: The immediate area by the site at 72 Townsend Street is metered parking. When you arrive for the morning shift, please note that the meters may not be accepting payment that early. But you’ll need to be sure to go back out to pay the meter later in the morning, as the meters will go into effect.  When you park, please double-check the meter’s hours of operation and time limits – we don’t want you to get a parking ticket!

For more info about SF parking meter policies, please visit: http://www.sfmta.com/cms/pmeter/meterrates.htm

We encourage you to use public transportation, if possible, to avoid parking issues.

PLEASE READ: Requirements for Attending SF Giveaways on March 24 and 25

With our last dress giveaways taking place this weekend on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, we have some important information that we wanted to pass along to ensure finding the prom dress of your dreams is as smooth of a process as possible!

If you’re attending a giveaway this weekend, it’s important to note the following:

  • You MUST have a valid 2011 – 2012 high school ID to be able to attend a dress giveaway. If you do not have a current high school ID, you can bring a transcript AND a valid photo ID. No exceptions.
  • Please DO NOT line up any earlier than 8:00 am for the dress giveaways. If you show up early, we will only give you an afternoon time to shop for a dress, so please DO NOT come to the giveaway location earlier than 8:00 am.
  • When you receive your wristband for a time to shop, please note you may not receive a time to shop right away and may need to come back later in the day. To keep things running smoothly, we limit the number of teens that can be shopping at any given time, so we appreciate your understanding!

SF: Transit Recommendation for March 17

For anyone that is attending our giveaway this Saturday, March 17, please note that there is a double header soccer match at AT&T Park that day. The first match is at 2pm and the second one is at 4:30pm. We want to encourage you to use public transportation and allow extra time due to traffic for these events. See you there!

SF: IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SUNDAY, MARCH 18

Attention San Francisco! We’re just about ready to kick off our 2012 Dress Giveaways and have an important announcement about next Sunday, March 18. PLEASE NOTE: Sunday, March 18 is a Group Boutique Day, and it is currently fully booked.

If you don’t have an appointment to get a dress that day, please stop by one of our regular Dress Giveaway days, which are taking place on Saturday, March 17; Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, 2012 (NOTE: The Dress Giveaway on March 25 will be on a shorter schedule, followed by event wrap-up.)
