In late February 2012, The Princess Project hosted its first annual Taffeta Tea at the Century Club of California. Now in our 10th anniversary year, it was the perfect time to celebrate the time, talent and taffeta that have created something special – not just for the thousands of girls that we serve, but for the thousands of volunteers and dress donors committed to promoting individual beauty and self-confidence year after year.
The event raised more than $15,000 – we’re so grateful for everyone’s generosity, which directly supports our legacy of helping more than 18,000 teens throughout California celebrate prom with self-confidence and style! As it was our inaugural event, we kept the tea on a small scale but look forward to expanding it in 2013. Stay tuned for details about our next tea early next year – in the meantime, we hope you enjoy these snapshots from our 2012 event, courtesy of Memoire Studio, who donated their photography services to capture every moment of the event.
Many thanks to our other donors who helped make this event such a huge success, including Minted for the beautiful invitations and Nancy Liu Chin for the gorgeous floral arrangements. Thanks are also in order for Laurel Designs for the lovely corsages for our “Queen Mother” donors to wear at the tea.
Finally, thanks to our raffle donors, which are listed below, for the fabulous prizes – lucky winners walked away with a wine escape for six, a professional in-home cooking class for six and a Tiffany & Co. necklace, among many other exciting items!
